Ans. The National Defense Academy is a joint service academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets from the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force train together before going on pre-commissioning training at their respective service academies. It is the world's first tri-service academy. A place designed to transform children into men. Adherence to military leadership.

Ans. To join the National Defense Academy, the candidate must sit for the entrance examination conducted by the Central Public Service Commission which is known as the NDA examination. It is held twice a year. UPSC is solely responsible for issuing guidelines for selection and final conduct of entrance examinations. The NDA exam consists of 3 levels, written exam, SSB and personal interview.
Ans. The age limit required for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years. Therefore, a person can make a maximum of 3 attempts for this test.
Ans. Those who meet the following criteria are eligible for the NDA exam.
Eligibility - Constrains
Age limit - 17 – 19½ years
Education Qualification - 12th pass or appearing
Marital Status - Unmarried
In addition, one must be an Indian citizen or subject to Bhutan or Nepal. A Tibetan refugee who may have returned to India permanently before 1 January 1962 is also eligible to apply for the NDA exam.
Ans. The selection process is based on written test and SSB interview. The exam consists of 2 subjects, Mathematics and General Ability Test and time limit for each subject is given 2 ½ hours, maximum marks for Mathematics is 300 and General Ability is 600. Eligible candidates in the written test will be called for an interview conducted by SSB. . The SSB process consists of a two-stage selection process, with Stage I involving Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests. Picture Perception Description Test and Stage II.
Ans. With the latest announcement by the Supreme Court of India, girls and women are now allowed to take the NDA exam in an interim order issued on August 18, 2021. Academic qualification, age, marital standards are expected to remain the same for both male and female candidates in NDA.
Ans. The NDA has 3 branches. They are Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army. After 10 + 2 members, all cadets from the three divisions joining the NDA are trained and graduated for three years at the academy and graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Apart from this, they also get training in field skills.
